As the Founder and President of Miami Eye Professionals, Inc. (MEP), I lead a team of highly trained optometrists, medical assistants, and optical consultants dedicated to redefining managed vision care. At MEP, we deliver Platinum-level service and provide our patients with exceptional quality eye care and optical products.
Our team consists of seasoned professionals with extensive experience in the optometric, medical assisting, and optical fields. As a Managed Services Organization (MSO), MEP partners with select contractual providers to deliver comprehensive managed vision care solutions. In addition to our managed care services, we are fully equipped to support the private sector, specializing in staff model operations and Diabetic Retinopathy Exam (DRE/HEDIS).

On a personal note, I bring over 40 years of experience in the vision care industry, with proven expertise in practice management, sales leadership, negotiation, market planning, retail operations, staff training, and medical devices. My deep knowledge of the South Florida market and long-standing relationships with eye care professionals enable me to provide strategic insights and exceptional service to our partners and patients alike.
Dr. Jose Macedo
As an experienced optometrist with over thirty years in practice, I have managed dozens of private and corporate optometric practices, both in the United States and South America. With focus on improving patient care outcomes while increasing productivity.
My expertise expands into many aspects of the eyecare community, some of my services include:

In my career I have employed and mentored numerous Optometrists. I have lectured in the United States, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Colombia and Argentina on medical care and optical business.
I am a strong advocate of increasing the scope of practice for Optometry world wide.
